Steelport 6" Chef Knife
If you love the control of a smaller blade, this 6" chef knife is made for you. Its curved tip lets you rock through chopping, slicing, and mincing with ease, while maintaining precision on every cut. Handcrafted from premium American carbon steel and burlwood, it’s strong, balanced, and built to last. Compact, comfortable, and versatile, it will quickly become your go-to kitchen knife.
NOTE: Carbon Steel blades are NOT Stainless Steel - they will change color are you use them and may rust if left wet. We recommend washing & drying Steelport Knives immediately after use. You may oil the blade with a food grade mineral oil in between uses if you like.
Care & Maintenance
To keep your knives performing at their best, always cut on a softer surface such as wood or plastic. Avoid harder surfaces like glass, marble, or metal, which can dull your blade immediately.
Clean your knife blade regularly with warm, soapy water and dry it thoroughly after each use. Never put knives in the dishwasher, as hot water and harsh detergents can damage the edge. The same goes for other sharp tools like peelers and graters — keeping them out of the dishwasher helps them stay sharper, longer.
Regularly hone your knife after each use to maintain a clean, precise edge. Over time, honing alone won’t be enough — and when that happens, you can always bring your knife into Artichoke for professional in-store sharpening.
