Care & Maintenance
Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with changes in moisture, so a little care will keep your JK Adams piece looking beautiful for years. Always handwash with warm, soapy water, dry thoroughly, and never soak, run through the dishwasher, or use in the microwave. Avoid placing hot pots or pans directly on the surface, as this can leave lasting burn marks.
To keep the wood nourished, firstly sanitize your board & if it's an active cutting board - Scrape it down after washing with a bench scraper. Then apply Mineral Oil or Beeswax Wood Conditioner (Bi-weekly, monthly or anytime the board feels dry) covering all surfaces including edges & ends. If the grain feels rough, simply buff with 200-grit sandpaper and reapply conditioner to restore a smooth finish. With this simple routine, your board should serve you for a lifetime.
